a website...? |
Why do you build a website?
|
| |
According to the 2000 Census date, 51% of people have a computer and work with
it in their home, and more than 4/5 of those have internet access.
|
 |
| |
As the internet and computer use becomes more and more prevalent, businesses
and organizations are faced with the question of whether or not they need a
presence in this new medium. |
 |
Always Available
|
| |
Your existing clients and your potential can access your informationwhen and
where
they want it. They don't have to wait for a sales person, or representative to
contact them.
|
 |
| |
The internet is always open. It never shuts down, but is available 24 hours
a day 7 days a week. Even when you're close, you can be closing sales.

 |
Simple Advertising
|
| |
A web site is like an extension of your business card. It is usually much
easier to remember than other important information like your phone number or
address.
In fact, consumers are increasingly turning to web stie to find that other
important information.
|
 |
| |
A web site is not constrained by size. You can only say so much in a newspaper
ad,
or a radio spot. You can sumplement that limited information by including your
web address in your ads. Then your potential client has almost unlimited
information about your company available to them.
|
 |
Low Cost
|
| |
Compared to traditional forms of advertising, even the most elaborate web site
is a low cost marketing solution. An ad in the yellow pages, a 15 second
commercial,
even a mass mailing, are usually more expensive than a web site, and, as I
mentioned before, contain a much smaller amount of information.

Of Popular Utility
|
| |
Bill Gates once said, "In the new millenium there will only be two types of
businesses; those on the Net and those out of business." I'm not sure that is
true, but there are obvious benefits for any company or organization to have a
web presence.
